Koen Theunis began his career in the hospitality industry growing up in Belgium through his mother's passion for cooking. He attended a culinary school followed by a BA in Hospitality Management in Antwerp, Belgium.
He worked in London for The Dorchester Hotel, Intercontinental Hotels, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, and The Goodwood Hotel Group. After more than 10 years in London, in 2003 he became part of the pre-opening team at Madinat Jumeirah and later worked in senior F&B roles for Emirates Golf Club, Emaar Hospitality Group, and Whissle.
In 2012, he set up his own agency KT Consulting & Concepts, rebranded in 2018 to RBnH Solutions. The company has been involved in projects across Dubai, KSA, Bahrain, the Maldives, and as far as the Grand Cayman Islands and the Bahamas.
He is committed on delivering creativity and innovation, long-term sustainability and consistency in product and service delivery. Whether it is concept creation, a feasibility study, kitchen design, F&B strategy, masterplanning for a mixed-use development or a shopping mall or implementation of a brand.
